Our Gym Night at P7 (80-55 Cornish Avenue Elmhurst) will be on Friday April 19 from 6PM to 8PM. Come by for some free play and organized activities! Don’t forget your sneakers!
This is a great opportunity for your families to play together in a regular size gym. Come meet other parents and children. We have free play for about 1 hour and then organized activities.
Pizza will be served at 6PM. Please let our Parent Coordinator, Daniry Lopez know if you are coming to make sure you get a slice (or 2)!
In case of inclement weather before venturing out please call 347-563-4496 to see if Gym Night is still on.

Spring is here! Hopefully this snowy and rainy weather stops soon so we can enjoy the Spring weather! There are a few events coming up that everyone at P255 is getting ready for:

Next, SPRING BREAK! Schools will be closed from March 25 to April 2nd. Students return to school on April 3rd. Have a wonderful vacation!

BrainPOP and the Flipped Classroom
Make homework fun and involve parents: try a “flipped” lesson! We welcome Katie Neville, master educator with more than 40 years of classroom experience and a current Technology Resource Teacher for Loudoun County (VA) Public Schools. She’ll show you how to build a flipped lesson using BrainPOP resources and our integration with Google. Explore different ways to engage parents and students in the process and hear some alternatives for those who don’t have internet access at home.

The bus strike is over!!! We look forward to seeing all our children on Wednesday. In the days to follow we will update you on any news concerning lost related services.
For now, I hope all goes well with the buses on Wednesday. Call your unit if there are any problems and we will try to help you.

Due to Hurricane Sandy, mid-winter recess has been shortened. Schools will be closed on Monday February 18th and Tuesday February 19th. Regular school will resume on Wednesday February 20th for all students. Stay warm and enjoy the long weekend.
